 How to Work Effectively as a Two-Man Crew When forming crews, the manager at JFC assesses each employee's personality and matches them with a partner that suits them.  However, sometimes you may be a 'floating' driver, so you are not part of a crew. If this is the case then you could be assisting an electrical engineer or porter that differs from day to day. It is important to remember that although 'self-employed', employees do not have the authority to pick who they go out with each day. This decision lies solely with the line manager and is decided based on employee availability for the week. However, the manager will still do his best to assign you with an employee you get along with, this is in his best interest as a crew that likes each other, performs better. Employees must put the work in to ensure that their crew is an effective duo. Let us know which role you wish to apply for, Porter, driver, or if you wish to be trained as an electrical engineer. You will be asked how many points you have on your license, if you have any experience in deliveries (this is not a requirement just so we can assess your ability), how many days you want to work, and you will be asked to attend one of the assessment days. 2. Electrical training course Details: At JFC we believe in harboring potential in our employees. This is why we encourage our drivers and porters to participate in an electrical training course. This course allows you to become qualified to fit and install appliances, instead of just delivering them. CEO SPOTLIGHT Jonathan Chambers has been working in the transport industry for over twenty years, within Expert Logistics. In 2010 Jon became the first person within Expert Logistics to create his own multi-crew company that sub-contracts to AO - a leading UK appliance company.
